City of Toronto: Community Recreation Branch Wins Award of Excellence for Employee Engagement in HIGH FIVE® Accreditation
We often think of HIGH FIVE as a standard solely benefitting program participants. But in 2017, after the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry, and Recreation’s (PFR) Community Recreation Branch launched its HIGH FIVE accreditation process, the branch received an award of excellence for employee engagement.
According to the City, the HIGH FIVE accreditation project “raised the bar in terms of employee engagement and collaboration, program quality and participant experience.” The process ensured that staff were engaged and consulted at every step.
The accreditation of Canada’s largest city was a monumental achievement for the City of Toronto’s PFR branch. Congratulations to the City of Toronto on strengthening the quality of their children’s recreation programming and their excellence in engaging employees.
