The newly enhanced edition of PHCD released in 2013 incorporates several robust content updates to the core PHCD coursework. This half-day training features ONLY these updated modules and coverage of industry-related topics in Physical Literacy, Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activity, Conflict Resolution and Bullying. Brings your certification current with HIGH FIVE’s most recent PHCD training. A PHCD Update Workbook and Certificate of completion are included.

Principles in Practice

For: Staff who have previously taken PHCD prior to 2013.

For: Staff who have previously taken PHCD and are looking to enhance their knowledge.

Principles In Practice includes new modules and further development of the Five Principles, as well as exploration on integral topics such as Physical Activity, Healthy Eating, Communicating with Parents and how to incorporate these essentials into activity and program planning. Participants receive 3 resources including the Physical Activity Toolkit, Healthy Eating Toolkit, Healthy Minds for Healthy Children Resource as well as a Certificate of completion.hanced edition of PHCD released in 2013 incorporates several robust content updates to the core PHCD coursework. HIGH FIVE Trainer

Getting certified as a HIGH FIVE Sport Trainer just got easier. Once you have completed either HIGH FIVE Trainer - PHCD or the new HIGH FIVE Trainer - Sport, all you need to do is complete an equivalency in the other Trainer training.

Coming in 2015: Strengthening Children’s Mental Health

For: Supervisors of programs for children aged 6 to 12.

This in-person training, developed in collaboration with Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario, aids supervisors to become more informed and prepare staff to promote positive mental health among children in their programs. This training will provide tools and suggested activities to use with staff to help improve their understanding and interactions with children who face challenges in their programs.
