Communicating with Empathy
This in-person training module provides techniques and tips to help front line leaders navigate communication with children, parents/caregivers, co-workers and supervisors.
What you’ll learn: understand and practice the principles of empathetic listening and communication, understand how to be an active listener and how non-verbal communication influences a conversation.
Learners will also have access to the HIGH FIVE Database to download additional resources and receive a Toolkit during training which will become a resource they can refer to throughout their time working/volunteering in recreation programs.
*HIGH FIVE recommends that participants be 16 years of age or older.
